Boris Kochan
Nationality: German
-
Boris Kochan (b. 1962) designs enterprises, organizations, relationships, and contexts—acting as an entrepreneur, designer, author, curator, moderator, and consultant. Following his training in layout and typography at Grafikstudio Sternagel, he initially gained journalistic experience, including work at an external editorial office of the Süddeutsche Zeitung. He subsequently acquired technical expertise in typesetting at Satzstudio Lothar Wolf, as well as in lithography and screen printing at the Jürgen Höflich printing workshop.
-
In 1981, while still a student, he co-founded a graphic and copywriting bureau with friends, which he expanded two years later to include typesetting and lithography. This was followed by the addition of Zelig-Druck in 1989 and the interactive unit Peppermind in 1995. Today, with approximately 40 specialists in Munich and an office in Berlin, Kochan & Partner is a leading branding and design agency, ranking among the 15 largest owner-managed CD/CI agencies in Germany. At the turn of 2022/2023, Boris Kochan stepped down from the executive management but remains connected to the company as the majority shareholder and Senior Advisor.
