2026 Kyla Artist Prize — International Art Award Open Call

【Mission: Creating the Art Language of the Future】


Initiated by ASSOCIATION DE LA LUEUR ÉCLAIRANTE DE L'ART (ALEA) , this award provides an international platform for creativity to be seen on a global scale. We encourage participants to use art as a language to express themselves and their era, conveying unique cultural perspectives through their creations. This is a cross-cultural international dialogue designed to transform your creativity into future nourishment for your artistic career.



I. Competition Categories

The prize is divided into two main tiers: Adult Group (18+) and Youth Group (under 18). Both groups include the following disciplines:



  • Architecture and Interior Design: Focusing on ecological architecture, green construction, and carbon reduction.



  • Painting and Material Creation: Including traditional/contemporary painting, illustration, and mixed media.



  • Graphic Design and Visual Communication: Emphasizing innovation in design thinking and visual storytelling.



  • Fashion Styling and Apparel Design: Exploring cultural codes, body aesthetics, and sustainable fashion.



  • Photography and Image Art: Focusing on visual narratives and diverse aesthetic imagery.



  • Dance, Music, and Performing Arts: Submitted via video or performance records (Online competition only; not eligible for physical exhibition).


II. Registration & Fees

Participation in the Kyla Artist Prize supports the academic independent evaluation and global promotion of the arts.



  • Adult Group (Online Competition Only): €100 (approx. NT$3,700).



  • Youth Group (Online Competition Only): €33 (approx. NT$1,200).



  • On-site Exhibition Add-on (Taipei American Club): €270 (approx. NT$10,000).


    • Allows display of up to 4 pieces for one month (April 1–30, 2026).


    • Sales Commission: 50% commission taken by the club for any works sold.



III. Important Dates


  • Registration Deadline: From now until March 28, 2026.



  • Notification of Selected Entries: March 30, 2026.



  • Exhibition Period (Taipei American Club): April 1–30, 2026.



  • Award Announcement: End of April 2026.


IV. Why Participate?


  1. International Academic Jury: Evaluated by experts from French academia, including scholars from the University of Strasbourg and the French Art Workshops Association.



  2. Global Media Exposure: Winners will be featured on international news platforms such as L'agence de presse Louis and Economic Daily.



  3. Nationwide Promotion: Winning artworks will be made into postcards and listed on the FamilyMart FamiPort platform across Taiwan.



  4. Prestigious Certification: Winners receive an "International Art Award" certificate jointly issued by ALEA and Butterfly Art.
