Eligibility
Open to artists aged 18 or above, of Asian nationality or based in Asia. All media welcome—painting, sculpture, photography, installation, mixed media. Each artist may submit up to 【1】 original works.
Artwork Submission Guidelines
1. Size Limit
After framing or full three-dimensional assembly, the artwork must measure under 80 × 80 × 80 cm (all three dimensions — length, width, and height — must comply).
2. Weight Limit
The total weight of the completed artwork must not exceed 5 kg.
3. Material Restrictions
Artworks may not incorporate plant-based materials, biological/organic materials, or fluid/liquid materials. This includes, but is not limited to: fresh flowers, live plants, foodstuffs, untreated animal-derived materials, liquids, and any uncured or flowable media.
4. Definition of a Single Work
Each artwork is counted as one single piece; a single panel constitutes one entry.
5. Component & Assembly Restrictions
Submissions combining multiple pieces — whether assembled, joined, or presented as a set — will not be accepted as a single work.
6. Inquiries on Other Formats
For special media, formats, or any uncertainty regarding compliance with the above, please contact the organiser prior to submission for individual confirmation.
The organiser reserves the right of final review and determination of entry eligibility. Submission constitutes agreement to comply with these guidelines; non-compliant works may be disqualified from participation or from any award received.

Nationwide FamiPort Showcase
Every artist who passes the preliminary review will be featured on FamilyMart's FamiPort cloud-print network across Taiwan. Selected works become available at FamilyMart stores nationwide, where supporters and the public can print and collect each piece — bringing your art beyond the gallery and into everyday life, in every neighborhood.

About the Award
The Asian Art Rising Star Award s an annual art award founded rooted in a mission to discover and amplify emerging artistic voices across Asia, the award brings together rising talents from Asia,Southeast Asia, and Europe — uniting them through exhibition, public voting, and cross-cultural exchange.
We believe art belongs to everyone. Through partnerships with public venues, convenience store voting platforms, and international arts organizations, the Asian Art Rising Star Award is building a bridge between emerging artists and the wider world

Our Awards Of Professionals
The inaugural edition introduced five emerging artists from Taiwan, and Malaysia to Taichung audiences through a two-month exhibition at Ararat Art Partners — a respected independent art space in the city's cultural district. Two artworks were sold on opening day, affirming both the artists' talent and the public's enthusiasm.

1st Edition — 2024





The second edition marked a significant leap forward. Held at the iconic Taichung City Hall — one of Taichung's most recognized historical landmarks — the exhibition welcomed 16 artists from across Asia and Europe. For the first time, a nationwide public voting system was introduced via FamilyMart's FamiPort terminals, allowing art lovers across Taiwan to vote at any of approximately 4,000 FamilyMart locations. The event received media coverage from major Taiwanese outlets and drew new audiences into the world of contemporary art.
