Call for Papers — Inaugural Issue of ALEA Revue Internationale d'Art et de Recherche

ALEA Revue Internationale d'Art et de Recherche (ISSN 3130-477X, assigned by the Bibliothèque nationale de France) is an international academic journal of art published by the French association Association de la Lueur Éclairante de l'Art (ALEA). The journal is double-blind peer-reviewed, Open Access, and published annually online (no print edition). Submissions for the inaugural issue are now open.

Scope
Research in any field of the arts is welcome, including art history, contemporary art, design, film and media, art education and cultural studies.
Manuscript Requirements
Languages: Chinese, English, French or Japanese
Length: short article format, main text up to 3,000 words (excluding abstract, footnotes and references)
References are reproduced in their original language, without translation
Accepted articles are published in bilingual French and English versions
Review Process
Submission received
Initial screening by the Editor-in-Chief (fit with the journal's scope and French academic formatting conventions)
French translation after passing initial screening
Double-blind peer review
Final acceptance after revisions; articles appear in order of submission
All translations are done by hand by native French translators. AI translation is not used, so that scientific names and specialist terms are rendered accurately.
Fees (in EUR, charged only after acceptance)
There is no charge for submission, initial screening, double-blind review, or for manuscripts that are not accepted.
Article Processing Charge (APC) — includes fees for two reviewers, typesetting, a publication certificate signed by the Editor-in-Chief, and an offprint PDF: €690
Full French translation: €650
English abstract translation: €70
Language quality review (for authors supplying their own second-language version; fully credited if the journal's translation service is used instead): €150
French press release writing and distribution (optional, payable before work begins): €1,650
ALEA members are exempt from the APC; translation fees are paid by the author. If cancelled before translation begins, 80% of the translation fee is refunded; the APC is non-refundable once production has started.
Scholars, researchers and art practitioners from Taiwan and abroad are warmly invited to submit.
