In celebration of International Dog Day on August 26 (founded by animal welfare advocate Colleen Paige in 2004), the Scribble Dog Award — the campus annual competition organized by DE Global Art Agency (蝶映藝術) together with the French art association ALEA — officially launches this year's call for entries: the Scribble Puppy Debut Project 2026 is now open for registration.
Forget the polished studio portraits — we want your dog at their most natural, scribbly, derpy, off-script second. Selected works will be made into Doggy Star Postcards and featured in the DE Global Art Agency ALEA gallery on FamilyMart's FamiPort platform, printable at 4,000 stores across Taiwan. Your dog, officially on a postcard.
Categories
A | Scribble Illustration: hand-drawn, tablet, or even mouse. It's not about technical skill — it's about that "drawn in three seconds yet somehow the spitting image" scribble spirit.
B | Derpy Photography: a phone is all you need. Lounging, zoning out, belly-up, facial expression management failure — the more natural, the better.
Eligibility
Open to all ages (age counted as of the entry deadline); minors must register with the help of a parent, guardian, or supervising teacher. The subject must be a real, living dog — humans in dog costumes, cats or other animals posing as dogs, figurines, plush toys, and robot dogs do not qualify and will not be accepted.
What Participants Receive
Your work made into a Doggy Star Postcard, available at FamilyMart stores across Taiwan
Inclusion in the event's group press release for media exposure
Digital certificate of participation / selection
A letter of appreciation for the supervising teacher (issued after the event if a teacher is listed at registration)
Honors selection: a jury plus public vote crowns the "Scribble Star," featured on the event's key visual and social media covers
Submission Specs
Illustration: 300 dpi or higher, portrait orientation, JPG/PNG
Photography: upload the original file, portrait orientation preferred (to fit the postcard format)
Both categories: include your dog's name and a one-line debut declaration (e.g., "This pup's only job is being cute")
Important Notice
This event is a publication and nationwide retail exposure program: there are no cash or physical prizes. Its core value lies in nationwide retail exposure, inclusion in media coverage, certificates of participation, and teacher appreciation letters. Selected works are displayed on the FamilyMart platform for two months as promotional exposure; printing fees paid by the public are FamilyMart's service charges and are not shared with participants. Works must be original and created or photographed by the entrant; entry fees are non-refundable once paid.
How to Enter (3 Steps)
1. Fill in the online form and upload your work → 2. Complete the entry fee payment → 3. Receive your registration confirmation and wait for your dog's debut!
